Disciple Groups

Our Disciple Groups

The Disciple Group Ministry at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church exists to equip adults of all ages to obey Christ’s commands to “Follow Me” and to “Go and make disciples”. Since this happens best when people gather together in community, adults are urged to join a group.

Disciple Groups During the Week

Besides ministries specific to our various groups, there are many other church programs and ministry opportunities in which both men and women are encouraged to participate, plus separate programs for children and youth.  Most of these are administered by or through one or more of the staff ministers who serve here at Thalia Lynn.  Listed below are several of these programs, a brief description of each, the ministry area under which each fall, and contact information.

Church 101

Second Sunday of
each month at 9:45a

Church 101 is a one-time class where we discuss what it means to be a member of a church and to answer your specific questions about membership in a church and in Thalia Lynn Baptist Church. This is an informational class about church membership.

The Motherhood

Every Wednesday at 6:00p (September-May)

Moms joining together and leaning into Jesus to accomplish His call. Join us for a mid-week reset with discussion, intentional prayer, and Biblical encouragement as we navigate the ever-changing world and point our children to Jesus.

Music & Me

Every Wednesday at 10:30a (September-May)

This is a fun, music-oriented experience for small children (birth-age 4) and their parents that meets on Wednesday mornings. (Kid’s Ministry) Call the church office to see when we meet next.

Women in the Word

“Women in the Word" is a Bible study group that will systematically explore God’s actions as recorded in His Word to bring about salvation through his Son, Jesus Christ. Their mission is to To more deeply understand God’s plan of salvation, as described and point to in his Word
