Welcome!

Who we are as a church stems from our core beliefs and what we see as our most important focus: Loving God and Loving People.

Our goal, our vision, is simply stated: Bring Relationships to Life.

What We Believe

We believe that God’s word is true, that the Bible is the revelation of His truth in written form. The Holy Spirit did so inspire, guide, and move the writers of the Scriptures as to keep them from error.

We believe that Christ was born of a virgin. Jesus was conceived in the womb of his mother Mary through the Holy Spirit without the agency of a human father.

We believe that Christ’s atonement is substitutionary. He paid a debt that we are incapable of paying. We can be reconciled to God only through Christ’s sacrificial suffering and death.

We believe that Christ’ resurrection was bodily. He rose on the third day in same body that he suffered.

We believe that the miracles of Christ are authentic and historical. Miraculous work is not contrary to His nature, but superior to ours.
We believe in the Trinity. There is one God, who exists as one in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, who, although are three different persons, are still one.

We believe that Christ’s return is imminent. Scripture emphasizes that Jesus can come at any moment. This fact helps to make us a people of hope, who are prepared and faithful.

Our View of Worship

All people are invited into a relationship with the living God through the saving activity of Jesus Christ and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. For those who respond and receive the adoption into the family of God, our primary stance in this relationship is that of worship. Worship is the very picture of a Christian’s walk with the Lord; for in true worship we not only remember and proclaim the gospel message, but are fashioned by God’s hands into the people of Christ.

Below is a good expression of our understanding and aspiration in worship:
As worship begins in holy expectancy, it ends in holy obedience. If worship does not propel us into greater obedience, it has not been worship. To stand before the Holy One of eternity is to change…In worship an increased power steals its way into the heart sanctuary, an increased compassion grows in the soul. To worship is to change. Holy obedience saves worship from becoming an opiate, an escape from the pressing needs of modern life. Worship enables us to hear the call to service clearly so that we respond, “Here am I, send me!” (Isa. 6:8).
-Celebration of Discipline: The Path to Spiritual Growth
By Richard Foster

Isaiah 12:2,4 & 5 also expresses this approach well:
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. In that day you will say: “Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.”

First Visit

Thank you for planning your first visit!

Dress. If you dress to suite your style preference you will almost certainly not feel out of place here. Most folks dress down, but appropriately. Business Casual (Coat and tie) are the rare exceptions and certainly not the norm.

Parking. We have sufficient parking for all of our services and events. Most of the available parking is located on the East side (creek side) of the church, near our main entrance (Entrance 1). Parking can also be found behind the church and also on the Princess Anne High School (PAHS) side of the church. Overflow parking, if needed, is available next door at PAHS.

Entrances. All of our entrances are numbered clockwise, starting with our main entrance (Entrance 1). Entrance 1 is our main entrance and is also the closest entry point to our Sanctuary. Handicapped accessible. Entrance 7, located on the PAHS side of the building, is a covered entry in close proximity to our Chapel and Fellowship Hall. Handicap accessible. Entrance 8, also located on the PAHS side of the building, is more commonly used by parents with kids on Sunday mornings, because it leads directly to the Kids’ Registration Center and Sunday School classes. Entrance 10 is an alternate entry into the Kid’s and is on the opposite side of Entrance 8.

Church Plan/Map.  Click our Church Plan/Map (ADD) to get acquainted with the layout and flow of the church. On Sunday mornings, we have greeters at entrances 1, 7, 8, and 10 to assist with navigating the building.  All other entrances are locked for security reasons.

Kids on Sunday Mornings. For security purposes, all kids (birth through 6th grade) are registered at the Kids’ Registration Center when they participate in a Kid’s Ministry program for the first time. To save time on your first visit, you might want to preregister your kids in advance.  Preregistration can be made at this link. Entrance 8 is the best entrance to use for kids on Sunday mornings. For additional information about out Kid’s Ministry go to the Kid’s Ministry page.

Security. Church security and safety is a priority for us.  For more information, visit our Safety page.
