Worship Guild
The Worship Guild is a group of believers who seek to enhance the worship of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church through the arts. Responsibilities include preparing the Sanctuary and Narthex area for corporate worship utilizing such things as banners, plants, arrangements, media, art, and bulletins in order to highlight the church year and special sermon emphases. To encourage personal worship, we also publish devotion guides.
The Guild’s responsibilities include preparation for
regular weekly Sunday services as well as for other special services. The Guild operates as a part of Thalia Lynn's Worship, Arts and
Music Ministry and under the authority of the pastor and the music minister or worship
coordinator.
The Cross Project—2012
The Cross represents so
many aspects of our faith: our Father's love, our Savior's sacrifice, hope, mercy,
resurrection, victory over sin, freedom, grace… What does the cross mean to you? How
would you represent that visually?
The Worship Guild will install a "collage of crosses" in the Narthex area for the Lenten/Easter season. Wooden crosses of varying sizes will be available to pick up Sunday, January 22nd for Youth and Adults who would like to participate. Any medium can be utilized in your design.
Finished crosses should be turned in by February 19th. The collage will be installed and ready for viewing on February 26th, the first Sunday in Lent.
