It has been said that preteens are in one of the key transition points in a person’s life. They are leaving childhood and entering the world of teenagers. Feeling caught between the two worlds, preteens need something constant they can hold on to while the world around them changes.
The Preteen Ministry at Thalia Lynn provides our 5th and 6th graders with their own space where they can hang out together and where teachers take a genuine interest in their spiritual, intellectual, and emotional needs.
Our Preteens are encouraged to see themselves as God sees them, and to be all that God has created them to be. Through energetic and interactive Bible study they learn how to apply God’s Word to their world, and by discussing common issues they learn the importance of having the support of Christian friends. Preteens are ready to develop a deeper understanding of who God is, and through scriptures we introduce them to Jesus Christ as the way, and the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
It is our prayer that each one of our preteens will acknowledge Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior through the power of the Holy Spirit, and that they will enter their teenage years desiring to love the Lord God with all their heart, mind and soul.
