Welcome to the TLBC Student Ministry. It is our vision for the Students involved in our Ministry to Worship, Grow, and Serve by following the example set by the New Testament Church as described in Acts 2:42-47:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

Using that passage of scripture as our guide, the Student Ministry will seek to Continue The Legacy started by the early church through activities that focus on or combine elements from one or more of the following four categories:

Bible Study: In-depth studies of God’s Word where students will see that the Bible is still relevant to them in today’s world, and they will learn how to apply Biblical principles in day-to-day “real life” in order to become the young men and women God created them to be.

Worship: Music, scripture, and prayer times designed to focus students’ attention on their individual relationship with Jesus Christ, and to provide them an opportunity for various expressions of worship to God alone.

Fellowship: A time of food, games, activities, or just plain hanging out planned specifically to develop and grow personal relationships within our group.

Overflow: This is a time for students to “Give back.” During these times students will learn about and put into practice things such as Evangelism, Missions, Ministry, Outreach, and Worship Service Participation.

In all the things we do in the TLBC Student Ministry, It is our prayer that by allowing the Holy Spirit of God to move in us as He did in the New Testament church, we will see students give their lives to Christ, lead their friends and family to Christ, and develop the kind of “Magnetic love” that draws non-believers into fellowship with the Body of Christ. Come see what God has in store for you!
